Planning a wedding can be an exciting albeit a stressful experience.
Can you imagine throwing secrecy into the mix? Surprise weddings are becoming more popular as couples steer away from the formal traditional celebrations, choosing instead to start their lives together with one giant party. You might slip away to an exotic destination for a secret elopement, or you may just get your family and friends together on the pretext of another celebration. Honestly, there are so many options for organising a surprise wedding.
I have been lucky enough to be the Celebrant at a few of these surprise weddings and there is nothing quite like being able to execute the ultimate surprise. When you look at the amount of planning that goes into a wedding you can actually save a lot of time and money if you combine it with say an engagement party or a birthday celebration. Why not be spontaneous and unpredictable but you must ensure you give your invited guests an incentive to arrive on time. e.g. tell them to be there for 7pm for some special entertainment they won’t want to miss out on.
In saying all the above, the most important thing is to organise booking your celebrant at least 6 weeks before the date. As a Celebrant I am required by law to submit a “Notice of Intended Marriage” a minimum of one calendar month prior to the wedding.
I am available to help you orchestrate this from beginning to end. On the day I am there for you so no stress left to the imagination. Should travel be outside the 100km radius I am always committed to arrive the day before so no stone is left unturned.
I am looking forward to meeting you both in due course.
Cheers Teresa
